2. Services Provided
We provide therapy services for adolescents and adults, including play therapy, trauma recovery, and mental health support. We do not provide emergency mental health services. If you are in crisis, please call 911 or the Suicide Prevention Hotline.
3. User Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate and complete information.
- You must comply with all legal and ethical standards when engaging with our services.
- You acknowledge that therapy is not a substitute for medical treatment or emergency care.
4. Text Messaging & A2P 10DLC Compliance
- Opt-In Process: You consent to receive SMS messages when providing your phone number.
- Opt-Out Process: Reply STOP to discontinue SMS.
- Support: Reply HELP for assistance or call +1 (469) 842-1340.
- Fees: Standard carrier rates may apply.
5. Appointments & Cancellation Policy
- Sessions must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance.
- Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee.
6. Payment Terms
- Fees are due at the time of service.
- No refunds will be issued for completed sessions.
7. Confidentiality & HIPAA Compliance
All client information is confidential under HIPAA. However, confidentiality may be legally breached in cases involving:
- Risk of harm to self or others
- Child or elder abuse reporting laws
- Court orders requiring disclosure
8. Limitation of Liability
Steady Steps Counseling is not responsible for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from service use.
- Delays or failures in SMS delivery due to third-party issues.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and branding on our website and communications are owned by Steady Steps Counseling. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any content without permission.
10. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Texas, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation or arbitration before resorting to litigation.
